Extended Hours, Expanded Opportunities

Enrichment Beyond the Bell

At Aspen Public Schools, learning doesn’t stop when the bell rings—it expands! Our Expanded Learning Program offers a variety of exciting opportunities for students through our After-School Programs, which will finally be available at all three campuses starting 2025-2026 with the addition of the Aspen Ridge After-School Program. Our After-School Programs are thoughtfully designed to extend the school day for our students in a way that’s both fun and meaningful. Whether students join our programs for extra academic support, hands-on enrichment, club activities, or simply to enjoy the fun and engaging experiences we offer, they all walk away with more than just new skills. Through our After-School Programs, students can grow academically, build their confidence, form meaningful friendships, and develop a lifelong love for learning—all in a space where they feel safe, supported, and inspired.

After-School Programs (ASES)

Our After-School Programs provide daily academic enrichment for students in the hours following dismissal, through After School Education and Safety (ASES). Available at Aspen Meadow, Aspen Valley, and soon Aspen Ridge (for grades 7-9), our ASES program helps students strengthen their academic skills, receive homework support, and enjoy fun, enriching activities tied to their learning in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.

Programs include:

  • Academic Support & Tutoring
  • Creative Projects & Leadership Clubs
  • Recreational Sports & Outdoor Play
  • Specialty Activities & Learning Experiences

Students are grouped into cohorts with caring staff who provide mentorship and guidance. ASES is free for families and operates every school day after dismissal until 6 p.m. at Aspen Meadow and Aspen Valley. Aspen Ridge’s After-School Program will operate from school day dismissal until 7 p.m.

Built for Busy Days & Bright Futures

Non-School Day & Summer Programs (ELOP)

Our Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs (ELOP) offer exciting, high energy experiences for students during fall, winter, spring, and summer breaks through our popular “Blast” programs. During these Blast programs, our students have a blast while engaged in hands-on activities, creative exploration, physical play, and leadership-building experiences that complement what students are learning in the classroom.

With the wide variety of sports competitions, art projects, dance, mindfulness activities, cooking, STEM experiments, and field trips, our students are immersed in fun and purposeful activities that help them grow and stay connected to their school community. Even when school isn’t in session, our Blast programs ensure students are still having fun, learning, and building lasting memories.
