Beyond the classroom, Aspen students have plenty of opportunities to explore their interests, build friendships, and develop leadership skills. From clubs and after-school programs to hands-on community involvement, these activities help students stay engaged, inspired, and connected.

Year-Round Learning & Fun

Expanded Learning
& After School

Aspen’s After School and Expanded Learning programs provide students with structured, engaging activities that support academic success and personal development. From after-school activities to enrichment programs during non-school days, students gain valuable experiences beyond the classroom.

A Love of Reading Starts Here

Library

Students at Aspen have access to a wide range of books through classroom collections at every grade level. We also encourage students and families to get a free library card from the Fresno County Public Library, which offers extensive resources and locations throughout Fresno, Clovis, and the surrounding communities.

Hands-On Learning in Nature

Community Garden

The Aspen Community Garden is a space where students can get involved in gardening, sustainability, and environmental education. Through hands-on experience, students learn about plant life, teamwork, and the importance of caring for their surroundings.

Three young children stand outdoors; one girl holds a potted plant, another wears a paper crown, and the third looks to the side. They appear to be at a school activity or event on a sunny day.
Two smiling boys in a vegetable garden sit on the soil, holding a freshly harvested cauliflower. One wears blue gloves and glasses, and the other has a mask under his chin. Gardening shears are on the ground in front of them.
A group of young children wearing school uniforms stands in a line outside a school building, smiling and carrying backpacks. Signs in front of them indicate grade levels.

Be a Voice for Change

Community Schools

Aspen’s Community Schools initiative empowers students to get involved in leadership and decision-making through the Advisory Council and Community Engagement Initiative. By collaborating with families, staff, and community members, students help shape school programs and drive meaningful change.
