The California Department of Education (CDE) has implemented a new annual requirement for the SELPA Local Plan Certification 5 form for all LEAs. The Certification 5 is now required to be signed by every LEA annually when information is submitted to CDE related to Local Plan Section B: Governance and Administration, Section D: Annual Budget Plan, and/or Section E: Annual Service Plan.
SELPA Leadership has met with CDE to review this new annual process and they have approved to have the SELPA Program Specialists verify and sign the Cert 5 annually on the LEAs behalf
